Oui, Oui - Costa Rica and Pari

Exciting stuff everywhere! Last night, Barbie and I booked our trip to PARIS! This December the four of us will be on our way to Paris for a four night stay. We'll be staying at Hotel Prince (www.hotel-paris-prince.com) which is located near the Eiffel Tower! We'll be leaving on December 19th and returning on December 24th! So super exciting! I can't wait!

The next super exciting thing is that I've booked most of our Honeymoon. Ryan and I will be traveling to Central America for a 13 night stay in Costa Rica. There will be soooo many great and exciting things to experience on our trip. We'll do ZipLines through the Rain Forrest, Snorkeling, Sailing, Horseback Riding, Volcanos and tons or other great and exciting things! I really can't wait! We'll be flying into San Jose on May the 19th and stay one night in the city (www.hotelgranodeoro.com). The following day we'll be able to venture to the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica (just a ferry boat ride away from Tortuga Island) for the remainder of our stay. We'll be staying at the Si Como No (Yes, Why Not?) Resort (www.sicomono.com) for 12 nights. It really should be a great experience! (AREN'T I GLAD I GOT THE FANCY NEW LENS FOR MY CAMERA!)

Vampires are Sexy...

YIPPEE!!!! Saturday Mom, Barbie and I went to do more WEDDING STUFF!

Jennifer's was our first stop! I tried on just about every dress they had (well - every dress I liked that they had). I tried on lace ones, simple ones, fancy ones, straight ones, A-line ones, etc. I found the most perfect one! It's amazing! Exactly as I had imagined! I had gone in there loving the swirly dress from birenbaum and bullock - and came out with another Mellissa Sweet. It's fabulous. Mom has all the pictures, so I'll post them later! It's awesome! great! Fabulous! and matches the green Bridesmaid dress perfectly! It was super exciting to be able to try on dresses with mom - since she wasn't here when I got the first one.

Afterwards, we went to Brandywine Country Club which is the reception location. There weren't too many people around so we had some time to wonder around on our own. After I had booked the room last year I found out they had changed the colors of the room and done a few other changes. It looked GREAT! I fell in love with it all over again! The colors were great and could fit well with the color scheme. The patio, the bar, the ball room, the entry way! All of it! Fabulous!

We also got to meet the new lady who's in charge of the wedding planning at the BCC. I was nervous that I wouldn't like her like I did Vikki Lynn. I was wrong though - Mary Kate was super nice and had so much enthusiasm about what she was doing - which helps with it being such an exciting day to plan! I can't wait until May draws closer and I can start finalizing some of the details!

It really was a great day! More to come!

Popular Chef...

...Or not. I had my Pampered Chef party tonight - 4 people showed up. Two of them were friends of people who I actually invited. It was still grand. We made a delicious salad full of strawberries and yummy zesty lemon dressing - mmmmm. I love my Feghan and my Barbie (and their mother-type-people) for coming. Home girl in charge of the party convinced Momma Bowman to throw a party - that poor woman! I guess it'll be an excuse to buy more kitchen stuff!

Today's Wednesday - can't wait for the weekend. This Saturday Mom and I are going back up to Jennifer's to do a little more dress hunting. My goal: straighten out the dress situation. I tried on one while we were up at Jennifer's doing the Bridesmaid hunt that I really really really liked. It fits into my image or the day much more then the dress I currently have. After a little more browsing and some deep thinking, everything should work out.

I recently e-mailed Vikki-Lynn at the Brandywine Country Club to see if it would be ok for Mom and I to go view the room (the've re-done the colors and mom hasn't seen the venue at all), update (for me too): Vikki-Lynn doesn't work there. Someone else responded though and she seems just as nice. AND we have the OK to go up there on Saturday.

It should be a great weekend - mom will get the full wedding update; and I get to try on DRESSES!

Dress Shopping

This past weekend we went dress shopping. It was great! To start the day, we went to Jennifer's in Hockessin and tried on a few dresses. The store didn't have a HUGE selection of bridemaid's dresses. It was actually good that they didn't though because it allowed us to try on a few things and decide what types we all agreed on. We found one dress by Watters and Watters that I had seen in a magazine before that we all decided was a good fit for the day. After we were done with Jennifer's we went up to Frank Bernard on Philadelphia Pike (we all got to see where little miss barbie works too!). The store was awesome! There were SOOOO many dresses to chose from. We pulled about half the store off the rack and started trying !them on. Poor Meghan even picked out a maternity gown - I hope there's not something she's hiding! J/K. We still didn't come to a final decision about which one was best (can't do that until I pick out my final dress!) but we do have it narrowed down to a few. I'm sure we'll go out one more time and try a few other stores to see what they have to offer. But it really was a successful day!

I want to be a blogger...

I'm getting married. Most know this - either from my telling you or from the icy glare when you around me.
If you haven't noticed - I'm stoked.

Ryan and I planned a two year engagement and after finalizing the ceremony location (Brandywine Park) and the Reception site (Brandywine Country Club) early on, it was hard to do anything else so I've been idle for quite some time. However, more then a year has passed, so let the planning begin!!!!

Since I was so excited at the site of my engagement ring, I wanted to do what ANY girl would want to do - I bought a dress. Recently though I decided that it doesn't QUITE fit the day as I had anticipated - so I have opened myself up to searching for new and more exciting options. I hope that you stay tuned for the new and final choice.

This weekend I'm going shopping with some of my lady friends to try and find a bridesmaid's dress - and I can't wait! It's going to be so exciting to start again - tea lengths and sandles here we come!
