I wouldn't really call it "being let down..."

So I got to see "Across the Universe" last night. As you know from my previous post, I was super excited to see it. Well. It wasn't as amazing as I had hoped for, but it was still a good movie.

In my opinion, they could have cut out about 3-4 scenes in the middle (for those of you who have seen it, the scenes I'm talking about are the party, bus, carnival and field scenes - if those were removed i don't think it would have effected the flow of the movie AT ALL).

But for the most part i really enjoyed it. I think it's because I love movies about people with passion. Not only for each other but for what they're doing and how they do it. I like movies that show an obvious and significant growth of the character - in this case from innocent-high-schoolers to radical-anti-war-hippies.

So, while it wasn't everything I had hoped for, it was a decent movie. Perhaps instead of sitting through it at the movie theater you can rent it. net flix it. something. If so, you can skip the scenes mentioned above and probably enjoy it a bit more.

(PS - James Sturgess is adorable.)
