I feel like I have things happen in spurts. I can go quite some time without an event really worth blogging about and then get dinged with two or three things all at once. This one is no different.
On Saturday I started to put together my wedding favors. They turned out rather cute (in my humble opinion). I was thinking about posting the finished product, but decided that maybe I'll just hold out so everyone doesn't know EVERYTHING about the wedding three months in advance.
After a day puttin' around the house, Ryan and I went to the Star Wars Exhibit at the Franklin Institute. We brought a handful of people with us. It wasn't as exciting as I had anticipated it'd be (well, I didn't expect much... but Ryan was slightly disapponted). We had been to the FI before for Body Worlds and it was a GREAT display... but this wasn't nearly as large. Either way he enjoyed himself enough, as did the others. After the exhibit we went to dinner at Friday's. That of course was an adventure when visiting the New Castle TGIFriday's.
That night my brother Scott spent the night. The next morning we had a few errands to run before dropping him off an heading to lunch with the Woodland's. I must admit that I really thought lunch was going to be my shower up until about a day or so in advance. However, it obviously was not. In an effort to trick me though, Ryan insisted I get dressed up for the event. Also, when we purchased cupcakes he mentioned that I need to make sure I "get enough for everyone". What a trickster. Either way lunch was a good time.
Following lunch I convinced Ryan to take me to see a house I had fallen in love with online. It had an open house from 1-4 and we made it with just enough time. When we got there, there was a good handful of people floating around. It really was a great house with a good amount of space. Too bad it was in the city with little space to move around and park outside of the house. The owners had bought it specifically to remodel and sell it. They did such a great job of bringing back the quality of the home.
After all of that, I was ready to go home and sit down and do nothing. After getting home I immediatly settled into my "relaxing wear" and watched Across the Universe for the remaining portion of the evening.
All in all a decent night and weekend.
