Like Obama

I thought it was time for change.

I have been growing my hair out for the past 2 years in an effort to have lots of hair to play with on my wedding day. The growing and styling was a huge success (I'm a bit biased but I thought my hair was amazing and I loved it more than anything).

Now that the wedding it almost a month behind me I thought it was time to do something with all that hair I'd been carrying around. So, I decided to chop it all off and donate it to Locks of Love.

On my way to the hair salon, I was on the phone with Barbie and she came along for the fun. The minimum length for the donation was 10 inches. I knew I would be close to that. When he showed me where the 10 inches would put me I was a little taken back - I knew it'd be short, but 10 inches was a little shorter then I had expected. But I went for it anyway. We took the length of the hair up to about my jaw line. I had about 4-5 bundles of hair instead of just one large pony tail to avoid the pieces in the front being cut short (from the pulling back, etc.).

All in all, I'm very pleased with the outcome. It's so weird to wash and brush - my hands keep wanting to go the extra 10-12 inches to the end.
