Today was my first day at Lowes. As Ryan and I have discussed, it will be good for me to get out and have some adult interaction (and have an income), but at the same time I'm going to miss 100% Jude time.
I got the call last week that they wanted to interview me and by the end of the week was told I had the job and would have orientation on Thursday (today). It was pretty boring. We watched a series of videos and filled out a little paperwork - luckily we seemed to finish earlier than expected.
Perhaps the most depressing part about going back to work is pumping. I didn't miss it at all. However, since most of my shifts will be in the evening, I'll need about 1 pump and that's about it (maybe one when I get home), depending on how the times work out. I mentioned today to the HR manager that I would be needing a "lactation room" and he seemed confused at first and then was like "ohh!". This was after lunch/after I had already pumped in my car (it was nice out, what the heck?) so I told him he had time to figure it out. I was informed by Ryan when I got home that there's a family-style bathroom (one large bathroom with a lock, etc) that I could use if I had to - I'm fine with that.
So I'm officially employed again - come ooooonnn income!

i told my aunt (the one who works there) that you got a job there. She's cool. I'm sure you guys will get along well. We see her there often so I guess she works most evenings and saturdays. Joanne is her name. I have questions for ya, but ill save them for when we actually talk
