Don't Quote Me On This...

But I'm pretty certain we're going to Disney World for Jude's first birthday! I'm pretty sure I may have mentioned this before, but wasn't positive one way or the other... I'm still not 100% sure... but it's looking more and more possible.

Basically if it's going to happen, it will be a big family trip. We invited my mom and Curt, my brothers and their significant others and Jude's cousin Olivia. They all liked the idea and we pretty much confirmed two of the three parties would go if we went. We plan to stay at the hotel Ryan and I stayed out with Meghan last time we went, which means we could all fit into one room and would have plenty of beds, plus extra living space and a kitchen! (it was a two bedroom suite with two double beds in each room, plus a living room and kitchen)

I really am getting myself super excited. It has potential to be a pretty cheap vacation, but still a lot of fun! Since I couldn't ride everything last time, I'd be able to really take advantage of all the rides.

When I first mentioned this to Ryan he looked at me like I had two heads (as he often does). He couldn't figure out where I was getting my numbers from and he doubted that we'd have the money to do it (even if it was as cheap as I was saying)... but when I sat down and went over everything, he put a big fat "maybe" on the whole idea.

The other day, Ryan mentioned some side work he'd be doing for a family member... he told me he felt bad charging them, but if he did, he'd tell them to buy one of our tickets for Disney (that sure sounds to me like he's on board!!). Then he was asking about Disney's donate a day program where you volunteer a day and get a free day pass, etc.

Currently it's been about a year since we last REALLY went away and I'm all about taking another trip... anywhere. Considering Jude is almost 9 months old, I figured I'd soon have to start planning his birthday party. I wanted to do something special for his first birthday, but there's only SO much he can appreciate. I think a fun family trip full of bright colors, fun characters and rides is the perfect celebration. Of course part of me wants to throw the big birthday bash... but part of me thinks making a habit of going away for his/Ryan's birthday is much better. We'll see what happens... and I'm sure I'll be back to tell you more as plans begin to unfold.

That sounds awesome!! I recently took Braxton to Tampa to visit my sister. We spent a day at The Magic Kingdom. It was perfect for Braxton who was just 2 at the time. A lot of the rides are kid friendly and Braxton sat on my lap a lot of the time. I am not sure about the other parks. They even have little play areas for the kids with slides and of course Mickey's house.
