As anyone on the east coast knows... we got buried in snow this past week.
Over the weekend, we thought we were getting this huge storm. I must say... it was huge. My work got closed early, so I didn't have to go into work, so we had the whole weekend to be snowed in.
At first, I was thrilled! All this snow! We never get this much snow! Then the forecasts came saying that even more of this magical white powder was on the horizon. I personally had my fill. At some point or another, it just get annoying. But alas, more snow fell from the heavens and we were snowed in - yet again - yesterday.
This time though, my brother and his fiance decided to brave the weather and come for a visit! It was great! We built little fort-walls and had a snow ball fight, we made homemade hot chocolate and a yummy spaghetti dinner. We quilted, we watched movies, we played with Jude.
I'm not really sure how to put into words how Jude took to all of the snow. I don't want to say he was thrilled with it... but he didn't seem to hate it either. He seemed intrigued by his seemingly new surroundings, but he seemed to hate being bundled up. Either way, he was a good little man while we had our snow ball fight. He sat on the sidelines watching us all act like idiots. I can't wait until next year when he'll be able to really play and enjoy the snow.
Buddy on the other hand, was totally in love with the snow. He jumped around and frolicked. I was worried that he would get cold, but the frozen water on his paws didn't seem to bother him one bit.
But now, here we are the day after a snow day... for some enjoying a second snow day... and I'm ready for it to all melt. We've had our fun, we've sipped our hot chocolate and we've made our memories... I say mother nature should return everything to "business as usual" so we can all leave our houses safely.
