Ok, Ok, Ok, I know I have a lot to catch up on. I have a whole trip to tell everyone about, but I thought I'd start small!
Awhile back, I mentioned that Jude's first "word" was "dah dah".
As I mentioned at the time, we weren't really convinced he was saying it TO/ABOUT Ryan, but we still marked it as a time where he was putting together his different letters to form "words". He still doesn't seem to be saying 'dada' to Ryan... but that's not really what I'm getting at. Recently, we've been pondering if he really has in fact discovered a 'word' or a series of words.
When looking at things, I will point to an object and ask Jude "what's that?". We'll look at it, I'll tell him what it is and just explore. Well, Jude just might be saying "what's that?". It comes out more like "wassat" and it's usually in a whisper-like tone, but it's adorable. I say that he's saying it, because he'll be up on his feet or on his knees reaching for something and saying "wassat". If I say "What's that" he'll repeat "wassat!".
Adorable.
