Up to the Highest Height!

That's where our kite was yesterday! For our glorius day off Ryan, Kevin, Barbie, and I all went to the Chelsea Manor Park to fly some kites. At first it was slightly rough to get them off the ground. But then Taz (the kite) came into the picture and was soaring in no time. We attached all the extra spools of string to the kite and let go as high as it could. With all the strings attached it had to have been over eight hundred feet in the air! It really was awesome!

After that we pulled a little of it down and attached the other kites to it to make a tail. What a GRAND day to fly a kite! Amazing! The day would have been perfect had I not gotten my camera case stolen (and Barbie almost losing her car).

Later on we ended up letting go of the kite (didn't really have a choice once it breaks off on a tree).

We got some ice cream did a little trampoline action and then went back out to see where it ended up. Much to our surprise it was still flying high. It had gotten caught on another tree a couple of blocks away and was still going strong. We tried to pull it loose only to get it caught on a power line (which was about 5 feet too tall to reach). It was the kite that wouldn't die.

All in all it was an amazing day for a Kite and a great Fourth of July all together.

Perhaps on another windy day while you're driving through new Castle you'll see a cheap kite flying high over Chealsea Estates - and you'll know that while other nicer kites have failed - the four amigos were successful with a cheap one - once again.

PS - Looking at these pictures, the sky looks awesome!
