Last night was my food tasting at the Bradywine Country Club. What a fun experience!
When we first got there the place was PACKED. Actually, not at all. It was empty. So when the wedding coordinator asked the servers where she should put us because she wasn't sure how busy it would be we both a little taken back.
When we were seated we had the following:
- Two glasses of Pinot Noir (prob. one of the best Red wines I've tasted)
- A leafy salad with Balsamic dressing.
- A tossed green salad with herb dressing (and garden veggies).
- Chicken breast in a white wine sauce (with veggies and potatos)
- Mixed grill of steak and chicken breast in a mushroom glaze (with veggies, etc.)
For the most part it was all very good. We were hoping we'd get to sample the dessert, BUUUUUT not so much.
While we were eating Barbie and I had to chose the appetizers that would be served during the cocktail hour. I picked what I thought would be pretty safe bets... but apparently those choices weren't "good enough". LOL. So with a little adjusting I think we ended up with a pretty good menu for the night.
After eating it was time to make decisions on different aspects of the evening. We solidified the reception times, head table vs sweatheart table, etc. I really thought there was more we would need to discuss... but I guess it all got covered... I'm sure I'll have more questions as the time gets closer though.
A good night all together though.
And on the agenda for tonight: "Mad Money" with the ladies.
