A Hobby, A Dinner and a New Beginning

"Busy, Busy, Busy" wasn't that something someone said in one of those movies?

I have had what most would refer to as a hectic week or so. For starters I bought a new hobby. It's going to be wonderful when I finally get it started. There will be scrapbooking of ALL events. Currently I have everything I need to scrapbook... except the pictures. However, they too are on their way!

As we all know it's a new year - so it appropriatly fits into one of the things I've been meaning to do - which is "do something with all those pictures". I'm not one for New Years resolutions - and wouldn't say this is a resolution but it does bring me to my next topic.

On New Years Eve, Ryan and I had Meghan, Greg and Phil over for a great dinner! There were pieces from everyone that made for a great and very filling meal. We Scrabbled, Drank and watched "The Ball" drop. It was fun - but ended up with my stomach on the bathroom door. Ugh. It was still a great time! But as a means of recovery Ryan, Kevin, Barbie and I went to see "The Great Debaters" after a big home cooked breakfast. It was a very good movie (for anyone who's been tracking my movie advice - which sure there aren't many if any) a great cast for sure.

I made the slow transition back to work today with a half day. I had appointments and things I wanted to accomplish. I did very little of any of it. After a rough morning "accomplish" was not in my vocab. But a lovely lunch and a moment to shine turned that around a little bit. Now, I am ready for the weekend so I can catch up on the list of things I have to accomplish. Perhaps a "projected" version of Batman Begins will prepare me.

"And why do we fall Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up."
And breath.
