Step One: Admitting the truth
I'm a college graduate. I work for an electrical contractor. I don't want to be here forever.
Step Two: Figure out what you want to do
I want to own my own business. I want to make decisions and create a work space that is inviting and exciting for others. I want others to be as excited about what I do as I am. I want to incorporate my interests and hobbies into my career. I want to wake up in the morning and be excited about where I'm going. I want my joy to shine through to the people around me. I want to create. I want to be a photographer.
Step Three: Create a Plan
I want to go to an art school to expand my knowledge of photography. I want to take business classes that will help me to make wise business decisions and train me on the proper steps to starting and maintaining my own business. I want to purchase more/better tools and equipment to be able to offer the best product available. I want to find a medium-sized space where I can set up a fun and exciting studio. I want it to be in a location with plenty of foot or vehicle traffic to get plenty of self advertisment.
I applied at the Delaware College of Art and Desgin today... cross your fingers. Mine already are.
