Months ago, Ryan and I purchased new doors for our hallway. When we replaced them, we painted them and the trim to match... which also meant I painted the trim INSIDE the door. Well, at the time I had planned to re-paint the bedrooms anyway, so did a terrible job. No tape, no careful brush strokes, nothing. Just paint all over the walls.
Well, I purchased the paint for the bedroom and it sat upstairs unused for quite some time. Until this weekend. I took down all the pictures in the master bedroom, spackled a good bit of the imperfections, sanded them to look a little better and repainted. I took what seemed like FOREVER on Saturday and a good chunk of Sunday morning, but it's officially done.
I had said for quite some time that I hated the color of my bedroom (in fact John had a solid memory of me walking into the bedroom when we were fixing up the house after him and my mom had just finished painting saying "you guys did a great job, but I still don't like the color").
Either way, it's done, the trim no longer takes up an extra three inches ont he walls and as a reward for all my hardwork, I put the quilt that my mom had made me for my shower on the bed for the first time today it's oh-so-pretty.
