Spreading the News!

Last year Ryan made a joke that 2008 would be one of the biggest years for him! He would always follow it up and say "the new Batman is coming out and the new Indy movie!" when obviously the big event in our future was our wedding!

Well, the wedding has come and gone and the big events of our lives are still flowing making this a huge and exciting year for the Kennedy household. Last month we settled on our new home and are still settling in.

When we moved in, Ryan and I were over come by the size of our house compared to Chelsea and of course one of the first thing out of our parents mouths were how many rooms we'll have to fill up! What they didn't know is that we were already ahead of the game.

Last night Ryan and I went to our second doctor's appointment to hear the heartbeat of our first little bagoomba which means we're officially comfortable with spreading the news that we're having a baby! I'm pretty sure the people who read this faithfully already know and have known for quite some time (barbie and meghan) but for those of you who didn't know (katy!! - surprise if you read this before I see you this weekend! Don't kill Bryan for not telling you, but I VOWED to kill him if he told ANYONE).

I'm due April 29th which means I'm about 12 weeks along (and for those of you who know me, you know that keeping a secret THIS long has been KILLING ME!).

We told Ryan's mom the week we moved into the house and plan to tell my mom and Curt this Saturday while they're up visiting. We'll probably tell Ryan's dad tonight or on Sunday as well as my dad and Mary. As for telling our friends, I'm sure it won't take long to get around now that we're giving anyone who knows permission to talk openly about it. Anyone not in the rumor pool will be told at Halloween.

So far I have felt pretty terrible on a regular basis. So much so that I've joked with Ryan that child #2 will be in the very distant future and adopted. However, it might be a mental thing, but I woke up this morning feeling pretty great! I hope that I'm finally pulling through the beginning stages of yuck.

Congratulations!!!

I'll be honest... I kind of already had a feeling.

1. When Mary said "I know you'll finish that wine".. you gave me a "Oh, if only she knew" look
2. Josh may be uneducated, but I know that morning sickness doesn't always happen in the morning.
3. When I would mention it to Fig... he would try his best to quickly change the subject. Haha.

But, once again, congratulations! I'm so happy for you guys and I know Bry is SOOO excited!
