Looking back on the weekend, I feel like we were super busy, but it felt very relaxing as we were going through it. Which I guess is good?
Friday night we right after work Kevin and Barbie came over to hang out around the fire pit. It was a good time, reminiscing and talking baby. Since we’d been at our new house, I think we’d only done one other fire pit, so it was nice to break the little guy out again.
The following day we had some appointments and errands, so we woke up and were out the door pretty quickly. When we walked in the door at home at home, something just didn’t seem right. I grabbed one of the dog to take them out to go potty and the old man next door came over to tell us in the 2 hour period of time between when we’d left and gotten home the fire department had been to our house. Apparently Ryan disposed of the embers that morning before leaving and some of them were still a little warm catching some dry leaves on fire out back of our house. Lucky for us one of the neighbors behind us had seen a little smoke under our deck and called the fire company and the old man next door had pretty much gotten it out before they got there and before it could catch anything other than the leaves.
After settling down from all of that, it was time to run a few more errands and hit up the movies with Ryan Creed. The boys saw Watchmen, me: “Confessions of a Shopaholic”. A cute movie.
I got home before they did and was able to lay around and basically do nothing for a little while which was so nice! Later that night my brother stopped by for a little while and we played this game called “Catch Phrase” which was pretty fun! We should buy it for ourselves!
After all that, Sunday was a “relax” day for Ryan and I. We were supposed to start doing our bathroom upstairs, but decided to put it off until next weekend. We decided to tile our tub instead of putting up your basic tub surround (price-wise it just made more sense), so went out and bought the tiles and figured we’d make it a whole weekend project (whole weekend – and month I’m sure) yippee!
