Finished Nursery!

Tonight I completed the last couple of items on my pre-Jude list. There are 2 items still left on Ryan's list, but we won't hound him too much for those (the dreaded bathroom and hanging some things on the walls). As a result I am now going to post pictures of the completed nursery! I finally hemmed the curtains and the only thing left to do is have Ryan hang a couple of things on the wall and eventually get an area rug when we find one we like.

Looking into the room, from the doorway. His curtains, airplane fan, and some toys (the items in the corner behind the wooden air plane are his clock and memo board - both gifts - to be hung in the room):

View from the window. His crib and lovely painted walls. Currently taking up space in the crib is his Pluto stuffed animal that Ryan and I got him in Disney. Also take notice of his "smart baby" mobile which I've gotten oodles of compliments on.:

The changing area/dresser. All the drawers are conveniently stocked and ready to go with onesies in various sizes and colors, the disposable diapers people insisted on buying us, his cloth diapers, first-aide type supplies, hand sanitizer, wipes, monitor, and MUCH more.:

Perhaps my favorite area of the room: The reading corner. the rocking chair belonged to my great, (great?) grandmother and was refinished to go with the nursery. The shelves Ryan made and did such a lovely job on (I want similar ones in every room of the house)! the books displayed on the shelves were all picked out personally by Ryan, myself, Uncle Bryan and Katy (thank you Border's for letting me take countless hours to look through your children's section). The books in the red basket were gifts from the dear Feghan (a collection of "smart baby" books and Bowman-attic hand-me-downs). The stool; also courtesy of Uncle Bryan. The precious little Phillies hoodie - a big thanks to 'uncle' Josh (Jude will be swimming in it for the first year or so of his life, but will have something to keep him warm in 2011):

Ryan and I are both pretty confident that we've created a room that will truly be able to grow with Jude for quite some time. Once he reaches and age where primary-colored stripes are no-longer his 'thing' I'm sure he'll be tacking posters over top so no one will even notice.
