On my 101 list, one of my goals was to make putting on make-up part of my morning routine.
I have never been a big fan of make-up. Typically I hate putting anything on my skin when I get out of the shower, but I like that fresh and clean feeling. Globbin' it up with mascara and eye shadow and the works just was not for me.
Until today. I mean I haven't officially made it part of my routine or anything but I hope that today was the turning point when I would start being a little better about it.
Where did this inspiration come from?
1. I've been watching a LOT of "what not to wear" this past week. I always noticed that the big transformation from "before" to "after" seemed to not only come from clothes but the way they did their make up, etc. Some time I feel like I don't wear some of my "nicer" clothes and instead stick to the classic ribbed tank and shorts because I don't feel like I look right in dressy clothes. But with a little make-up on I no longer feel like I look like a little school girl putting on her mommies going out gear.
2. I saw a picture of myself that I was less than thrilled with (see my current facebook photo). I mean it wasn't a terrible picture of me - I just feel like I looked really washed out. Maybe it was the color of the shirt. Maybe it was the lighting. Maybe I was just tired that day. Whatever the maybe, with a little eye liner and some mascara I'm sure it could have been avoided.
So. If I go 2 weeks wearing make-up more than 1/2 the time I'll officially cross off making it part of my routine.
