A few years ago, Ryan and I hosted a Holiday Party. At that time I told him it would be super cute for us to have an "ugly sweater party" where everyone wore an ugly sweater. He immediately told me it was lame. I mentioned this to a friend and she ended up wearing her ugly sweater and Ryan thought it was awesome and said "everyone should have worn an ugly sweater!". I grimaced at him.
So, this year, we had an actual ugly sweater party.
The 'rules' were that everyone wear a sweater, brings a covered dish and they had the option to bring a wrapped gift for the secret santa gift exchange. Some did all, some did none, but everyone seemed to have fun.

I'm pretty sure that Ashley's was one of my favorites though.

(I opted out of the ugly sweater and went with the ugly christmas kilt I had in my closet... hot.)The weekend we chose proved to be a bad weekend to get a lot of people together before the holidays. A lot of people had other parties, family gatherings on would be out of town. However, even though it wasn't a huge turn out, it was still a good time!

i was going to ask you why you don't use most peoples' names much anymore....then you started naming names.

and I agree...ashley's sweater was amazing. perhaps my fav.

Lol! Barbie's sweater looks like every sweater that was in my closet when I was six. The ones my mom always yelled at me for never wearing. That is awesome.
