A couple months ago, Ryan inherited a riding lawn mower. Unfortunately he got it at the end of the mowing season and so never got to give it a go. However, the lawn mower also has a snow plow on the front! So, Ryan has been itching for a good storm to hit our area.
While we were on vacation, there was talk of snow and Ryan was bummed that we wouldn't be home for it. I'm pretty sure he was bummed specifically because he wanted to try out his new plow. In fact, when he got word that the snow was coming down oh-so-slightly in Delaware, he had me call our neighbors to let his good buddy Joe know that he was more than welcome to give the mower a run. Our area only ended up getting about 2 inches, but boys are boys and Joe apparently went up and down our street plowing the side walks and just playing with this new toy. The night we got back from vacation we ended up in Joe and Meg's living room and of course the topic of conversation was how this plow did in the snow. The boys were discussing it's quirks, how it handled, the chains that Joe put on the wheels and all the other details about this new plow.
Needless to say, this conversation had Ryan crazy with excitement. At the first chance, he too was out plowing minimal snow accumulation. He wanted to share this moment with Jude, so he brought Jude's new Power Wheel out and the two of them were doing whatever it is that boys do. Riding around, squeeking with delight.
