Yesterday I had my 26 week check up. Apparently the two people I talked to at my last appointment (who also scheduled me for next series of appointments) were a little off - I do not start going every two weeks yet. I have another month before my next check up and THEN I start every two weeks.
But moving on to what happened yesterday...
I did my glucose screening. I'm pretty certain it'll come back normal, but I've yet to hear back on the bloodwork results for sure. It's pretty convenient at my doctor's office because they actually do the test in the office. So, I show up a little early for the appointment, chug the glucose drink, have my regular check up and then they draw blood before I leave. Super convenient when I'm toting a two year old with me.
In addition, I was given my prescription for the dreaded Rhogam shot. Because I have O- blood, it's required that I get the shot during pregnancy and again after I give birth. It sucks. It burns. It's terrible. But I'll survive.
I also met another doctor in the practice today who I (as with the others I've met!) absolutely loved! She had such a great personality and was very personable. She went over the normal stuff, measured, heartbeat, etc. Everything is right on track. I gained another 3lbs this month which she was very pleased with (to make 14lbs total). His heartbeat was in the upper 130's. My blood pressure was right where it should be. He still moves regularly. I still feel great. I'm only 2.5 weeks away from my third trimester (!!!). Things are progressing nicely.
