Upon returning home from Paris, it was a very bust few days. I was so happy to go in the house to see my puppies and play with them and reassure them that we love them to pieces, but within minutes we were out the door.
Christmas Eve we always go to my Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop's house in Robscott. Every Holiday since my Mom and Curt moved it's always kinda sad to pull up and see our old house. I can't help but think about when we were younger and we would have to carry hot dishes from our oven to my mom-mom's table or store left overs in our fridge. Even worse is thinking about how after we got done opening presents with our extended family we would all go across the street with my grandparents and open gifts from my mom. It was always such a great time.
But alas, it was still good getting together for the Holidays as always. When we arrived everyone was just getting in from church and unloading their piles of gifts. The roastbeef was being put on the burner and the ooddles of snacks were being layed out. We spent what felt like hours opening gift after gift, giving everyone their turn to show off their new things.
After all the gifts were opened and everyone was beginning to fall asleep, we headed back to Ryan and I's house for the rest of the Christmas Eve celebration. We grabbed a couple of drinks and exchanged gifts with Bryan, Katy and my Mom and Curt. By then I was beat and ready for some much needed sleep. It was so wonderful to cuddle up in bed with my puppies again.
The next morning we did the typical running around. We had breakfast with my Aunt Bonnie, watched Gabe and Jarred open their gifts at my Grandmom's and received some of our own, and then we to Ryan's Grandmom's to see her and Ryan's parents and show off our Paris pictures. After what seemed like running around forever we made a couple more stops to distribute gifts and there home we went. It was amazing to be in bed by 8:30.
Unfortunatly that meant back to work.
However, I was oddly excited when arriving back at work. When I opened my e-mail there was a message from the Brandywine Country Club! They wanted to schedule a food tasting for Ryan and I for the end of January. Ryan and I were pretty much "on hold" with all things wedding until the beginning of January and I can see now that everything will be happening very quickly here shortly. I really can't wait!
