Movie Madness

This week in an effort to delay the inevitable cleaning of the house, Ryan and I have made a couple of trip to the movies. Within the past week or so there have been about 5 movies come out that I want to see. In addition to about 2 or 3 others that immediatly went into the Netflix queue.

On Wednesday Ryan and I went to see Sweeney Todd (The Demon Barber of Fleet Street). It looked like it would be such an awesome movie. It wasn't terrible, but was far from amazing. It LOOKED very cool... but moved sooooo slow... and the songs could have been much better. But I guess you win some and you loose some.

Thursday was the much anticipated "National Treasure - Book of Secrets". Not as good as the first one, but definitly not terrible. I could probably say that it was better then i had anticipated (as the previews made it look soooo terribly cheesey).

I kinda want to go again tonight... but I guess I should save something for next week...

Still to go:

"The Great Debaters"
"Charlie Wilson's War"
"PS I Love You"

While I may not be a professional movie critic - tune in later for my personal opinion.

In other news - New Years is RIGHT around the corner. After 4:30 today I'll be heading home and won't go back to work until "next year". It's amazing how quickly 2007 has gone.

For New Years Eve Ryan and I could not seem to decide on what to do to celebrate. We love throwing parties and thought that was a possibility, but didn't want to break the bank. We could have gone out, but who wants to spend the money and take that chance? Finally I decided on a nice intimate gathering at our house. Meghan and Greg will be coming over for a dinner and midnight French Champagne toast. It should be adorable and fun. I really can't wait. Maybe I'll invest in some simple decorations and bust out the fondue pot for a fancy cheese dipping - so many options...
