Well, as per my last blog I am on a roll. This past week or so I feel like I've really hit off some of the pending things on my "wedding to-do" list with items ranging from accomodations to food.
Yesterday I made a phone call to the Doubletree Hotel in Wilmington about hotel rooms for out of town guests and anyone else who doesn't feel like driving that evening (anyone reading this who is planning on staying over - all you need to do is call and book a room for the "wilson/kennedy wedding party"). They were very helpful and the guy I spoke with was so nice. They offered a room if we wanted to have breakfast the next day and in addition set me up with a shuttle from the reception site - which should work out very well.
I also contacted Liz Marden's - a bakery in Hockessin. I have heard really great things about their cakes and designs so was eager to check them out and see what they had to offer. At this point I'm waiting on a call back from them to set up an appointment to sit down and talk about designs, flavor and everything else. Cold be delicious!
At the end of this month I also have a meeting with the Brandywine CC for a food tasting. I had to pick out a couple meal options and send them my picks. It was kinda rough narrowing it down but I think we did an alright job. I can't wait to get there and talk to Mary Kate about the thinks I would/would not like to see.
In addition to picking out the suits on Saturday, at the end of this week the girls will be getting fitted for their dresses up at Jennifer's. Recently I tossed around the idea of the girls picking out their own styles within the "Watters and Watters" line and I'm not sure how it's going to play out in the end - it could look really cute, but could also confuse things a little bit being so close to the deadline for ordering. We'll see what happens - either way I'm sure they'll look great!
Last but not least, we finished the guest list - there may be one or two more people here and there that we may have to add and there are a small handful of address I still need to get, but for the most part it is done. That is really a releif. It's such a pain sitting down and coming up with all of that information! But really is helpful to look at.
So as you can see it's been a very big wedding week and I can't wait to get some more stuff completed!
