So far, so good.

So far this weekend I have been able to fit in most of the things I had planned, which is great.

Friday night my grandparents came in to visit and we went to dinner at Border Cafe. I had only ever been there for lunch and most of them had never been there at all. Well, we got there and in addition to the loud music and very open floor plan, they had a hoppin' happy hour in full swing. I felt terrible like they wouldn't like the environment, but they seemed to get past it rather quickly and kept raving about the food.

Since we were dining with older people and they're ready to eat early on, we were out of the restaurant by about 6:30 or so which meant we had plenty of time for a stop in at Phil's. Which is always nice.

Saturday I woke up and had a good amount of time to do nothing while Ryan was at work. So, I decided it was as good a time as any to work on my wedding favors. I didn't realize how much work they would really be. I'm slowly getting them all put together and I am very pleased with them. Hopefully within the next week or two I'll be able to finish them up so that I can cross it off my list of things to do.

After wedding favors I drove my grandparents around northern Delaware to see all of the wedding-day sites. First we stopped at the Brandywine Park where the ceremony will be taking place. It obviously didn't look as nice as it will in the spring, but it was easy to imagine the trees in bloom and the fallen flower petals dusting the grass. Since he would be performing my ceremony, they helped me come up with some ideas on placement and the flow of the ceremony.

Then we went to the Brandywine Country Club for a quick walkk around. I didn't have an appointment and they were in the middle of setting up for another wedding, so the three of us just poked our heads in for a minute and were gone.

THEN we went to the Doubletree Hotel on 202 where I have a block of rooms reserved. I had booked the rooms before even seeing the hotel because it was one of the closer places to the reception site. It was nice to actually be able to see it. They talked about how they'd be getting a room for a few night leading up to the wedding as they want to be here to help in any way they can and I really thought it was nice of them.

After a day full of wedding details, I got Ryan and it was time for more talking. It was really relaxing talking to them and Ryan seemed to enjoy it (unlike the other couple with the attempted conversion). They said in the days leading up to the wedding while they're here, we'll have one more session to sit down and discuss 2 or 3 of the last chapters and go over the flow of the wedding before he ties the knot for us.

Now today I'm going shoe shopping with my fancy ladies and before that, camera shopping with Barbie. So wedding and photography, two of my favorite things in one day! Yippie!
