Honeymooners

Well, as promised I am going to reflect on the honeymoon a bit!

It's been a few weeks and I feel like I've gotten myself back to reality a bit. This past week I've been slowly getting my house back into a routine (keeping it clean, wash done, etc.). Up until just recently I just haven't had much motivation to come home and just dive right into it. But alas, I feel like I've gotten myself back.

But back on topic! The honeymoon!

It was fabulous!

I'm not going to elaborate too much and give you a play by play, but i'll give you some highlights of our amazing honeymoon!

We started our trip with a pick up at our house at about 4:00 in the morning! We were tired, but very eager to get started. As a treat Ryan's dad arranged for Delaware Express to have us picked up in one of their town cars. It was nice to be able to drive right up to the curb and be dropped off without having to interrupt anyone.

When we arrived in Costa Rica, it was sooo hectic. We had to get off the flight, find our shuttle driver and take a three hour drive to the cost. Ryan had been nervous that he wouldn't be able to communicate with anyone because of the language barrier, but it quickly became apparent that they spoke plenty of English (and him more spanish) then he had previously imagined.

The hotel (Si Como No) was AMAZING! It was set into the side of the rain forest with an amazing view of the pacific ocean!

During our ten day stay in Manuel Antonio we did so many fun things! We did mountain biking, three different nature tours, a boat trip, snorkeling, swimming in the ocean, the villa vanilla and more!

It was so relaxing and fun. We met a lot of people in the hotel staff to make that connection with the Costa rican culture and also talked to ooddles of other who were celebrating honeymoons, anniv., and just there for fun!

Following our long stay at the hotel we made our way over to Arenal to see the active volcano!!!! Which was definitly one of the highlights of the trip! After a little confusion and a much longer trip then expected, the shuttle driver got us to our (not orignal, but very nice) hotel! We stayed at Tabacon which we had heard about while in Manuel Antonio. After deciding not to stay were we had orginally planned, we chose one of the closest hotels to where we were (and having heard the name we went for it). Walking in the door we knew it was a great decision as there was a huge sign that said "part of the leading hotels of the world" (which I'm guessing is a pretty exclusive club). They even provided us with a nice juice punch mix at check in.

They actually had a large resort which included the Tabacon hot springs which were awesome! It's basically naturally warmed water. Some of which were very "pool like" and the others were very natural and wonderful!

Also while we were there, it was clear enough one evening to see the flowing lava!! It was sooo cool!

After 12 days of luxary it was time for us to go home! Even though we had an amazing time, it was of course nice to come home to our Buddy boy who was eager to see us.
