A little life update since it's been awhile

Well, not much has changed over the past week or two since my last post. We're still in the process of finishing projects around our current home and eagerly waiting for settlement on our new home.

I've been anxiously searching online for new appliances, design ideas and much more to fill the space in our future home. It's all so exciting.

In addition this past weekend (friday to be exact) we celebrated Buddy's "birthday". Since we adopted Buddy and the shelter didn't know his exact birthday we decided to celebrate his birthday on the day that we got home from Faithful Friends. We got him last year the Wednesday after Labor day. Much like we did every year with Zoey, we got a pack of frosty paws and treated our little guy to some great 'nummies'.

It was kind of emotional (sorry to get sappy)watching him enjoy his little treats as we sang Happy Birthday because one of the last great memories we have of Zoey Jane was celebrating her birthday with frosty paws and pink cup cakes (I know, I know, dogs shouldn't eat cup cakes, but she loves her share of people food). Not to mention "forcing" her to wear her birthday hat for just a quick second, long enough to get a quick picture. Oh memories.

Other than that, we had a fun weekend hanging out with friends, working on projects and doing a lot of nothing.
