The not-so-glam side of pregnancy

When I first found out I was pregnant I was not afraid of gaining weight. As I’m beginning to put on a few extra pounds I’m not afraid to look at the scale and it’s climbing numbers. Ryan has told me for quite some time that he’s attracted to pregnant woman so I’m not even afraid of being unattractive to him. But I’ll admit that outside of the obvious changes there are some ‘not so fabulous’ things that seem to be creeping up on me!

As I keep telling Ryan: “Sometimes when I sneeze I pee a little”

It started out of no where somewhere around 1.5-2 weeks ago; usually when I’m standing up and have a slight need to urinate anyway. It’s never a big gush or anything, just an unattractive tinkle. I laugh every time b/c it’s so ridiculous that even though I’m not huge it’s starting and I’m sure it’s bound to get worse. What’s bad is I feel like I constantly sneeze. One time I went to the eye doctor and she asked if I had allergies because apparently there are stress marks in my eyes from my frequent sneezing. Which in turn means if I don’t stop sneezing this could potentially be a big problem.

The next item isn’t exactly “unattractive” for anyone but me: Filling up too quickly.

I think if my stomach filling up too quickly is the worst of my eating problems, I’ll take it. In the beginning I had some heartburn issues that seem to have simmered down, I don’t have cravings, I’m not turned off of food I once loved – so I’m pretty lucky. However, it’s not uncommon for me to sit down starving and make myself/order a large plate of food only to get ½ way through and not be able to finish. What sucks is if I’m enjoying ever bite of a delicious meal and then all the sudden get to my fill point, I keep trying to eat and end up miserably full – like I could be rolled out of a room. But like I said – if this is the worst of it, I’ll take it.

I feel like there’s more I was planning on sharing, but have run out of items. I’ll be sure to give you the details as they come.
