One of the things that my doctor’s office requires before the birth of our child is to have a pediatrician on file. I have asked around a little to get some suggestions and pretty much come to the conclusion that I don’t think I’d be able to really decide if I like a doctor until I have some sort of experience with them. I feel like any doctor could pass a question and answer session from Ryan and I since I don’t really even know what to begin asking so decided I’d take some of the suggestions to heart and just pick someone.
One of the doctors I heard good things about is Pediatric Associates. They are located at the Medical Art’s Pavilion at the Christiana Hospital. My doctor is also in the MAP center, I’m delivering at the Christiana Hospital, it’s close to home, close to work, close to where we’ll probably have Jude in daycare and connected to a reputable hospital. It just seemed like an all around good decision.
I called them today to get a little bit of information on how to register Jude with their office and was told that if I’m delivering at Christiana all I have to do is tell my OB/GYN that I’ve picked Pediatric Associates and once Jude is born, the on call doctor will come over and check him out, fill out all necessary paperwork and go over any appointments I need to schedule based off of their evaluation of him/time and day of his delivery, etc. Seems simple enough!
