Option #3: Stay at home and work part time in the evenings.
I went to work on Friday and told my immediate supervisor that I would be leaving no later than mid-late August. This would give them until the end of the summer to find a replacement and have me train the replacement (if that's what they want). I thought this was more than fair considering I basically had them on hold the last 2 months.
Part of me feels bad having told them I'd be back and then bailing 2 weeks later, but I honestly didn't see this coming. I thought for sure I'd want to go back (well, to some degree).
All in all, I'm very excited for the what the future holds. It may be challenging and will inevitably be a big change in life style, but I honestly feel it's for the best.
