BJ/EJ @ CBP
Last night, Ryan and I joined Kevin and Barbie for a night out to see Billy Joel and Elton John at the Citizens Bank Park. This was without a doubt the longest time I would be away from Jude. The first time we'd be leaving him with someone during the time from that would normally be his evening routine. And, the first time that I went out right after work leaving my with pretty much NO Jude time. It was intimidating, but totally worth it.
Ryan and I love Billy Joel (probably him more than I) and we're both fans of Elton John. Not to mention this was the perfect chance for me to let loose a little (none of that "but I need to feed Jude in an hour" excuse) and have a few drinks. It was such a great time!! While the weather was a little sticky, for the most part it was a nice night.
After putting a couple of drinks back I even made friends with the people sitting around me (Alicia: the social drunk). All in all, we danced, did some singing along and had a blast.
Last night also allowed me to cross off a couple of things on my 101 list.
I drank 3 different types of beer last night (it was either drink beer that the people carrier around in coolers or leave the show to go to the stands along the outside of the stadium - after Ryan got lost for what seemed like forever getting me a drink, we stuck with the beer): Heinikin, Bud Light and Miller Light. Putting me at SEVEN instead of 6 beers. While it's not the most amazing taste in the world, it wasn't too terrible.
ALSO - knowing last night would be a late night and that I would probably be getting a little tipsy I prepared in advance and scheduled off for today. So, I officially took the day off to sit at home and do nothing. It was enjoyable laying around with my munchkin, taking a nap, watching TV, etc.
