Climbing

I'm not sure exactly when it happened... but Jude is climbing.

Our house is laid out with the steps in the front and the living area towards the back, so Jude is rarely around steps. But he does have access to our fire place mantle which is basically one baby step up from the ground.

A couple of weeks ago he somehow climbed his way up the step. And couldn't get down. Personally, I thought it was hilarious. This little man, with so much independence and drive was reaching one arm down, not able to touch the floor. Reached a foot down, couldn't quite reach. changed directions, moved here, twisted there... and just couldn't get down. So, of course I helped him.

Then, today, it dawned on me that he's actually climbing steps. He was playing in the front yard and climbed up the steps to our front door. Again though, getting down proved to be a challenge. I had to show him how to crawl down backwards... and he just wanted no parts of it.
