Just the other day we got our first significant bit of snow in our part of the country.
Being that Jude was much younger when it snowed before this, I thought for sure that he'd love to get out and play in the snow.
I first started to introduce it to him from inside. We peeked out the back door, pointed to the snow and he "ohhh" and "ahhhh-ed" over the snow from inside. I explained that the stuff coming from the sky was "snow" and got really excited for him. His response? He made me get down his snow globe that he's been playing with for the past few weeks. If nothing else, I should be proud he made the connection.
This particular day, I was watching Bailey and so I knew that a long trip out in the snow was impossible. There was no way I was going to bundle up two kids to go out in the 1/4" of snow I figured we were getting. Not knowing how Bailey would respond to the cold, I decided I'd get some layers on Jude and let Bailey watch from indoors while we played near the front steps (see her in the background below?)
Since the snow ended before we knew it and it was half-gone by the next morning, I was so glad I got him out the door for even just a few minutes to enjoy the first snow of this winter.
Later that night Uncle Bryan stopped by and we went out for a bite to eat... and I just thought there were some cute picutres :)
