Mommy-Made Scavenger Hunt

Quite awhile ago, I came across a list of activities for kids. Most of the stuff was your typical arts and crafts type things, but one thing really struck me as a fun idea: to make a nature scavenger hunt for kids.

I mentioned this to a few of the women I knew and many of them seemed interested, so I put together a list of things to find and we were on our way to a scavenger hunt!

We met at a local park and split into two groups. Each group had a list of things to find. For items that were too large to collect, we had cameras to take photos of. The list had things like collecting a variety of leaves, something edible, etc.

The weather was pretty chilly and the kids didn't REALLY 'get' it, but it was a nice activity to get us outside. It'll be nice to try it again in the spring when it warms up.

Afterwards, we met a couple other women at Panera for a nice warm lunch and friendly conversation.

I must say that Panera with a bunch of kids while college is in, really makes us stand out a bit!
