I've been slacking in the blog world, but I have good reason. We have been enjoying this weather/season! Jude and I have been spending SO MUCH time out side and out of the home that I'm not even sure where to begin! So, I'm not even going to pretend to try and catch up. Typically I'd infiltrate the blog with a million pictures, small little tid bits of what we've been doing and pretend that to some extent I did justice the great amount of fun that Jude and I have been having - but not this time.
This time I'll say that Jude and I have been having a blast. Maybe I'm just trying to treat this summer as our last little hoo-rah alone? Maybe it's because Ryan's been working so much that I just need to get out of the house for a little sanity? Maybe it's because Jude is at an age where he is taking in EVERYTHING - absorbing the world around him and on some level telling me about it? Maybe it's because the summer opens all these new doors of fun and exciting things to do? Maybe it's just a good mix of all of the above.
But regardless of the reason, we're having a great time and have about a million and a half pictures to prove it. I'm getting ready to pack up our suitcase for the second time already this summer and we'll be heading to the beach. To this point Jude has not spent any significant time at the beach. We've had day trips, over night adventures and the like, but we've never really been TO THE BEACH with Jude. Considering it was a big part of my family vacations growing up, it'll be fun to see how he takes it in.
My guess - after watching him effortlessly fall into tune with just about everything we do - is that he'll just as easily take to this experience. I know he'll love the food, I know he'll soak up the boardwalk, I know he'll dig in the sand and I know he'll come home at the end of the day with the festivities of the afternoon rattling through his head and crash into bed dreaming sweet dreams of all the fun we've had.
So - Here's to another blogless week. Another week of sun and adventure. Another week spending time with (in my opinion) the coolest kid on the planet.
