Last week I had my (almost) 36 week appointment and I'm due in less than a month.
The appointment started the same. I peed in a cup. I got my blood pressure taken (105/something). I got weighed (169 - so up like... 1lb from 2 weeks ago).
Then we went into the office to wait for the doctor. They took some 'samples' and did a little check on how things were progressing. According to the doctor I'm 2cm and about 70% effaced. Really that could mean nothing... or it could mean things are progressing... who really knows?!? But either way, I'm doing well.
Perhaps the most significant piece of information I came away from the appointment with, is that I was told that starting that day, if I start to go into labor, they won't try to stop it.
I'm really hoping he stays put until November 1st, but really, who can control that? This week we have a plan to wrap up the loose ends in the nursery and then I'll feel much more prepared.
