Mi Hermano Mayor

Perhaps I should be practicing my French instead of my Spanish - since I will be bouncing out of my seat in excitement this time next month. I go to PARIS in one month! I'm so super excited!!!
Not to mention we're down to less then 6 months until THE wedding!

But about my weekend which technically started on Thursday evening.

"Hello Feghan":

On Thursday night I was treated to "Hello Dolly" by Meghan's dad. For Meghan's birthday he decided to take her to the Candle Light Dinner Theater and she brought me as her guest :) It was so cute. The food was amazing and the show was fun. Meghan vowed to make me see the movie "Hello Dolly" at some point in the future since her and her dad new the words to the songs. Can't wait.

"On the Road Again..."

When I got home from the play it was crunch time. I had to leave for North Carolina. We packed up our clothes, our pets and ourselves and were on the way.
Our Co-Pilots:

"Reherse! Reherse!"

Friday night was the rehersal dinner at "Cooley's". There were a lot of people there since Kevin and Anna invited all of the out of town guests to join them. The food was very good and the time flew by. Following the rehersal dinner, Anna asked some of the 'ladies' to go out with her and some of her friends for the evening. At this point I had not slept for over 24 hours and I was very much about to pass out - but I went anyway. It was terribly awkward with I walked into the "male review" and there were large (all around) men everywhere. That experience lasted all of 15 minutes before we were all on our way back to our beds for the night.
Everyone Gathered at Cooley's for dinner:

"Here Comes the Bride"

Satruday was the big day. The wedding started at 2:00 and was very simple and intimate. They exchanged vows in the church and went into the church's fellowship hall for snacks and socializing. It was a very simple reception that lasted about an hour and a half. There was no music or dancing or drinking - it was nice to enjoy each others company and get to know Anna's side of the family. At the close of the reception we sent Kevin and Anna off on their Honeymoon and headed back to my mom's house. Being that there were so many people from out of town, my mom and Curt saw it appropriate to host a dinner at their house. We had a bonfire, snacks, played Mexican Train, and told hilarious stories from when we were kids. Most of the people there were my mom's family - most of whom i'm pretty close to so it was very relaxed and enjoyable.

Kevin and Anna did the Unity Sand instead of a candle:
The Cake: Home-made by Anna's mom - delicious!

They were sweet to each other:

Bryan's toast a hit. Short and Sweet.

Ryan and I at the reception:

My special guys.

Kevin watching Anna come down the isle. so sweet. (can anyone else see the sweat on his upper lip??? lol)

Exchanging the rings:

Me and my Pop-Pop. I love him.

All in all it was a great weekend - but a huge relief to get home and back in our own bed. I'm very much looking forward to my first relaxing week in awhile. Not only do I have very few obligations, but also a short work week and thanksgiving to boot.
