Another Anticipation Post

So, we're STILL waiting for our settlement date, but it's REALLY right around the corner now! This weekend we plan to pack up all of the things that we needed for our day-to-day living and start living out of boxes until Tuesday.

We've finally come down to some of the nitty gritty projects around the house and it's looking better than ever to go on the market this weekend. Some un/expected projects we plan to do:

- put another coat of paint on the laundry room ceiling
- touch up the bathroom ceiling
- plant fall mums in the flower bed out front and add some mulch for curb appeal
- hang the new storm door (and possibly sand and paint the front door)
- Clean up/ deliver all items that belong to others from upstairs.
- A big once over cleaning once all of our belongings are removed to make the house "sparkle".

We're hopeful that it will sell quickly so that we can start all of the work we'll need to do to our new home as soon as possible. One benefit of waiting until the house sells before ripping things apart is that our house is that it won't be torn apart for the quickly approaching Holidays. But it still makes me sad that we'll have to wait.


With all of this mortgage company mumbo jumbo that's going on it's making the wait to settlement nerve racking. I can't help but be slightly afraid of the financial adjustments that are staring us right in the face considering the economy unknown that's approaching, But we've crunched numbers over and over again to be sure and we're good to go.

We're both excited for Tuesday and can't wait to show our Buddy boy his new home!
