Well, last weekend was a pretty busy busy busy weekend. To start with, my mom came up to visit, which is always refreshing. But similar to most other weekends when she visits, we had a million things to do.
Since they didn't get here until late on Friday night, I didn't meet up with them until Saturday morning for breakfast. Afterwards I got to drive them by our future home. Unfortunatly, there was a car parked in the driveway and a man moving some of their remaining things out, so I wasn't able to get out of the car and show them around the outside of the house. I'm sure I could have asked him to let us inside, but wasn't sure how he'd take it.
A little later that day we went to an 'estate sale'. I think it was more or less a moving sale. Mom wanted to buy everything these people had so I had to talk her down a little.
Then that evening we had a b-day party for my mom-mom who's turning 75 on the 23rd. It was adorable and she didn't seem to expect it at all! There were ooddles of people and I really wasn't up for talking to everyone, but I still had a good time.
Sunday was Barbie's shower! What fun! She got what seemed like soooo much stuff! Everything was decorated in a baby giraffe theme. I got there early and helped them set up the house and prepare in anyway I could. I had been to ooddles of baby showers before, but none in what I would consider my "adult" life and they were all for aunts. It was much more fun this time around.
After the shower we had a guick good-bye dinner with my parents and the weekend was officially over.
If you couldn't tell I had something to do just about every waking hour of the weekend. I'm having a hard time recovering from such a busy weekend and am very much looking forward to an un-planned and relaxing weekend ahead of us. However, in my unscheduled free time I'll be able to maybe do a little more packing as we'll be moving in just 12 days!
