Halloween!

For the sake of wasting the last 15 mintues of work I'll mimic Barbie's blog and discuss an exciting event on the horizon! Ryan and I's annual Halloween Party! Halloween (as you know from previous posts) is like the climax of my favorite season! We look forward to this party every year!

I must admit that while I've been shreiking with excitment for it on the inside, all the morning sickness (blah), house unpacking, etc has made it rather hard for me to get too into preparing for it this year. However, I've been babbling to Barbie about it all day today and my excitment is rising!

Ryan and I are doing our first ever couple costume this year and we hope that it turns out great. Initially we thought it was an AWESOME idea (his more than mine) but of course having picked an idea so far in advance the excitement for it is slowly melting (especially as we find out what more and more people are being). It's always awesome to see the costume expectations rise each year. I must admit that the people at our parties know there's a standard to be upheld and they all seem to go above and beyond.

Last year we started doing a costume contest so that we could acknowledge these hard-core, dedicated individuals. This year I plan on adding some extra categories to the list! I hope that people bring their A-game to make it worth my while!

Another change that will take place this year is the location of the party (duh!). It didn't dawn on me until just a few minutes ago, but this will be the first year that we didn't have the party at our old house. There were so many great aspects to the house that I'll miss. One being the size of the house - it made the party seem fuller and kept everyone mingling. Not to mention decorating a LARGE house is much harder than a small house... I hope that the decorations we have don't look few and far between.

Either way, it's bond to be a great time since our friends are all so great to be around! Come on party people!
