Yesterday, the long awaited happened. We finally got paint on the walls in Liam's room! In addition to paint in Liam's room, we officially have ALL NEW DOORS through our upstairs hallways! To say that our home is coming along is an understatement. The past couple weekends have been so productive, that I'm bursting at the seams from excitement.
But back to Liam's room...
My dad came over yesterday and got paint on the walls. We're doing stripes along where chair rail would go, so once this paint has had some time to dry all the way through, he'll be back to do the stripes. In the mean time, we got the go-ahead to start with the rest of our preparations. We can hang the blinds, the curtain rods and any wall decorations. We can fill the closet, hang the ceiling fan (when we find one we agree on), put the wall vent covers back up, replace the floor vent covers, put the outlet covers on and build the shelves. It might sound like a lot, but compared to what came before this, it's pretty much nothing. Aside from building the shelves, the bits that we have left to do are all relatively quick and simple things. In fact, it should be the perfect amount of work to keep me occupied for the next week or two while we wait for the furniture to arrive.
On Wednesday I have my next appointment. At this time, I will have my first internal exam - and my appointments will be weekly. In addition, Halloween and a number of events with friends and family will begin to fill our weeks as we approach the holidays. Quite simply the month is sure to fly by and before we know it, Liam will be here. It's intimidating to think that "no later than the middle of next month, we will be parents to two children". Wow.
